ACF Industrie was founded in 2000 in the city of Brasov in the heart of the Carpathian mountains by the two French entrepreneur brothers. The ACF track concept was an idea they came up with to re-engineer the Adolphe Kegresse’s​ original design of track vehicles which served in Europe as motorized artillery transport in 1906 and in later years in western Europe. Influenced also by the famous French automotive pioneer Andre Citroen, he and his team completed a trans Africa expedition in the early track vehicles, covering 28,000 kilometers.

The concept specification was simple: the track must be compatible with every standard 4×4 vehicle, plug & play and most important be reliable. After several years of engineering and hard tests, the rubber track conversion system was born in 2015.
